DGS Welcomes Northern Illinois University and the great, Ericka Von Kleist
Yesterday, DGS students shared a day with the legendary Professor Reggie Thomas and the NIU Jazz Orchestra. They were treated to clinics, rehearsals, masterclasses, discussions, and even time with masterful musicians to talk about everything from being a career musician to improvisation and public speaking. We ended the day with a performance alongside our DGN friends by hosting a concert that featured NIU's award winning ensemble as well as the great Ericka Von Kleist!
12 hours at the airport, lost luggage, and songs she had never played before, Ericka Von Kleist stepped off the airport runway and onto our stage and still amazed!!
