South High School junior Claire Pikul recently earned first place in the IHSA journalism sectional at Loyola. Of the 13 schools participating, Claire's images earned top place in the Photo Story Telling category. Claire's theme focused on homeless people in Chicago.
After the IHSA State Competition, Claire earned second place in state in the Photo Story Telling category. Kudos and congratulations to the entire journalism team for their success, and a special shout out to Claire for earning this recognition in the IHSA state journalism finals.
