18 ensembles competed at the 2014 Prospect High School Knight of Champions. Performing at 6:30 PM, the Marching Mustangs finished 5th overall out of 19 groups.
The band then traveled to Providence Catholic High School for a 9:30 PM performance at the 2014 Invitational. Earning caption awards for Best Music, Best Visual and Best General Effect, the Marching Mustangs were awarded Grand Champion honors from a field of 19 performing ensembles.
The Marching Mustangs have three competitive events left in this season: Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Illinois State University, Saturday October 18 at the University of Illinois, and the closing event of the season, the 12th Mustangs Music Bowl on Saturday, October 25th.
