This excellent concert concluded in an excellent manner - with the District 99 Symphonic Orchestra. The first two string numbers were sonically diverse and performed with impressive execution. The culminating numbers, Saturday Night Waltz and Hoe-Down from Aaron Copland's Rodeo were captiviating. The balance between the strings and woodwinds during the waltz was enticing. The crowd literally roared with approval after the final sounds of Hoe-Down wafted into the catwalks this evening.
