12 student musicians from Downers Grove South have been selected to participate in the 2023-24 Illinois Music Education Association All-State Bands, Orchestras, and Choirs. Student musicians submitted video auditions, which were evaluated by an esteemed panel of adjudicators. The top placing scores participated in the District Music Festival, held on November 18, 2023! From there, the highest rated students from district festivals across Illinois earned the title of All-State musicians!
To not only complete such a rigorous audition process, but to be placed among the top musicians in the entire state is a testament to the work and dedication these students show. Please join us in celebrating this wonderful accomplishment! The South High School community is proud to have them represent us at the Illinois Music Educators Conference in Peoria (January of 2024).
