In music we typically expand the classroom boundaries either by going places to learn, or, by bringing in experts to share ideas. Today, we were fortunate to learn from two master teachers. Brian Logan, former director of bands at Wheeling HS and newly appointed director of bands at Vandercook College, spent time working with the bands at South. Professor Logan worked with Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Workshop, Concert Band, Wind Symphony and Wind Ensemble. Tom Tedeschi, director of bands at Lakeview Middle School, worked with Symphonic Band. Ideas were shared and every ensemble improved - thanks to both of these outstanding music educators for sharing their artistry and ideas with DGS Bands students today!
