D99 Orchestra enjoys a day of collaboration with guest artists

As part of the annual District 99 Orchestra chamber music program with string quartet in residence, Grant Street String Quartet, students in the orchestra had the opportunity to perform and/or observe a master class and hear the amazing playing of our guest artists: Jennifer Leckie (violin), Matt Cataldi (violin), Jenwei Yu (viola) and Tim Archbold (cello).

Congratulations to the student musicians for your great work preparing your pieces and for playing so well in the masterclasses!  Thank you to our guest artists for your incredible playing and guidance in helping the ensembles refine their pieces for their upcoming performance at the IHSA Solo and Ensemble festival!
