Marching Mustangs 2014 All-State Sugar Bowl Field Competition Champions!

In preparation for the 2014 All-State Sugar Bowl massed band field half-time show with 14 other marching ensembles, the Marching Mustangs participated in a field show competition in New Orleans.  The Marching Mustangs were Grand Champions of the field show competition, sweeping every caption category.

The Marching Mustangs will unfurl the large field flag as part of the 2014 Sugar Bowl pre-game show - the video above is from the 2013 Sugar Bowl so you can envision what will be happening.  In full uniform, the Marching Mustangs will represent the school and community of Downers Grove as they hold the large field flag as part of the pre-game ceremonies.

The 80th annual All-State Sugar Bowl will be televised on EPSN on Thursday, January 2, 2014.  The game is scheduled to kick-off at 6:30 PM CST, so be sure to tune into the broadcast (or set your DVR's) around 6:15 PM to catch any potential pre-game coverage by ESPN.
