The 16th Marching Mustang Music Bowl featured 22 high school marching bands from across the state of Illinois. Bright sunshine ruled the day during prelims, with the top 10 bands being invited back to perform in the evening finals. The evening performance was opened by the O'Neill Middle School Band, Ms. Christine Kaminski, director, performing the National Anthem.
A special "thank you" goes out to the more than 200 volunteers that contributed to the success of the Music Bowl this year with a huge "shout-out" to the 2018 Music Bowl co-chairs Kelly Wygonski and Dorothy Daniele. An event of this magnitude doesn't happen except through the spirit of positive volunteerism inherent at South High School that shows a regional learning community from across Illinois the best that District 99 has to offer in hospitality and organizational excellence.
