2018 Graduation Concert

Kudos and congratulations to the students and staff affiliated with the A Cappella Choir and the Wind Ensemble for presenting a tremendous spring concert this evening.  The A Capella Choir performed a dynamic program with poise and precision. Congratulations to senior soloists Allison Brand, clarinet, and Daniel King, clarinet, for displaying stunning artistry and fluency in their solo pieces this evening.  The combined rendition of "Blessed Are They" from the Brahms Requiem was stunning.

We bid a fond farewell to the 58 members of the Class of 2018 from the A Cappella Choir and the Wind Ensemble.  Your impact on the music suite will continue to be pervasive, and you will be sorely missed in the future.

We bid a fond farewell to one more graduating senior, Mr. Roselieb.  Mr. Roselieb joined the music faculty of District 99 in 1990 and has had a remarkable impact on the students, on the department, and on the community.  Mr. Roselieb celebrated his musical journey in District 99 tonight with two world premiere works commissioned by DGS Fine Arts and Mustang Band Boosters by composer Jim Stephenson.  Al Roselieb, trumpet and Craig Roselieb, alto saxophone, were both featured on compositions by Dr. Thomas Bough from Northern Illinois University.  Mr. Roselieb also conducted the A Capella Choir in a gorgeous performance of Randall Thompson's "Alleluia."  Thanks to all the member of the Class of 2018, and a special thanks to Mr. Roselieb for all that you've done for the arts in our school, in our community, and in our state!  Best wishes on your the next part of your journey!
