ISU Wind Ensemble and Applied Faculty Tour Stop - DG South HS

South High School Fine Arts and the Mustang Bands were thrilled to host the Applied Faculty from Illinois State University and the Wind Symphony, conducted by Anthony Marinello, for a morning of musical collaboration.  The ISU Applied Faculty delivered master classes and clinics to DGS students in Wind Symphony and Wind Ensemble, sharing insights into improved performance and artistry.  Following the break out sessions, the Illinois State University Wind Symphony performed for all of the band students, featuring the Applied Faculty as soloists with the ISU Wind Symphony and in Chamber Ensembles.

Special thanks to ISU alum Mr. Hensel for coordinating this experience for the student musicians of South High School.  It was a marvelous morning of shared ideas and artistry, inspiring for students and performers alike.  Special thanks also to the College of Fine Arts at Illinois State University for facilitating this tour and this outreach event here at South High School.
