Thanks to Illinois State University and Dr. Tom Marko for bringing the ISU Jazz Band on tour to South High School today. The ensemble performed for all 4 DGS bands, sharing repertoire ranging from Count Basie to Maria Schneider. The sounds were inspirational for our student musicians!
Congratulations also to Sam Tedeschi, DGS Class of 2015, who is the bassist with this excellent ensemble. It was great to have Sam back swinging in his spot in the DGS band room!
