2017 Wind Ensemble Invitational Illuminates a Bright Sonic Future

Congratulations to the student musicians from the Eisenhower Junior High School Symphonic Band, Daniel Tedeschi, conductor, and the Lakeview Junior High School Wind Ensemble, Tom Tedeschi, conductor, for their performances at the 2017 DGS Wind Ensemble Invitational.  Both groups played challenging repertoire with sonic and artistic maturity.

In addition to a stunning performance of Incantation and Dance, the DGS Wind Ensemble performance included a special guest appearance by Wolfgang Mozart during Marriage of Figaro and Ave Verum Corpus.  We were honored to have District 99 Superintendent Dr. Hank Thiele guest conducted Tempus Fugit, a piece written in memory of Thiele's high school band director Ross Kellan.  If the sounds heard in the auditorium this evening are any indication, the sonic future is bright for the Mustang Bands!
