Tonight was a great night to be a Marching Mustang! The band performed their competition show,
Artistry in Time, during halftime and received a tremendous ovation from the home football crowd. Even more impressive than the half-time performance tonight was the collaboration of the band with the football team, and, the integration of the band into the student section in the stadium. For the first time, the band and football team entered the stadium together, along with all the other spirit groups. Then, after a rousing pre-game show, the band positioned itself in the stands in a new location, adjacent to the student section. The coordinated and spirited cheering between the students, the band, and the cheerleaders was impressive.
Special kudos and congratulations to the students, parents and families in the Class of 2014. This senior night is your first celebration of many during the course of the year. We are proud of your work, and look forward to your continued success throughout the year until graduation.
