A fond farewell to the Class of 2012

We bid a fond farewell to the South HS Fine Arts Class of 2012.  Your legacy here at 1436 Norfolk is impressive - you set the bar amazingly high when defining performance success in the Fine Arts, and, you set the bar high with grace, elegance, class and dignity.  We will miss you dearly, but, your presence will continually be felt in the process and product in the arts here at South High School.

This year, the South High School Fine Art Department facilitated 80 public performances and exhibitions (plus or minus 5 either way.)  The level of student achievement continues to be remarkable, and, measured competitively at regional, state, and national levels.  Over 1,100 students in visual art and over 750 students in performance and non-performance music courses pursued their passion in the arts during the 2011-2012 school year.  The Fine Arts staff humbly thanks the students, parents and community members for their dedication to continue to keep a passion for the arts ignited in every learner in our South High School Learning Community.
