Just over 250 student jazz musicians from the articulated learning community at South High School in Downers Grove participated in the 2012 Jazz Cafe on Thursday, January 19, 2012. In addition to student musicians from South High School, students from O'Neill Middle School, Jefferson Junior High School, Lakeview Junior High School, and Eisenhower Junior high school celebrated jazz performance in Downers Grove. Guest artist Dr. Bob Lark from DePaul University provided additional musical luster to the evening by soloing with the DGS ensembles. "It is fabulous to see so many students and parents enthused about jazz performance." said Fine Arts Chairman Glenn Williams.
