Saturday, October 23rd, 2010 began with rain, wind and thunder. By 7:30 PM in the evening, the 2010 Marching Mustangs moved "Beyond the Storm" and earned a performance in the finals at the 45th annual State of Illinois Marching Band Championships at Illinois State University. This is only the second time in the history of South High School that a band has qualified for finals performance at this event. Greatness is not an event - it is a process.
