On Saturday, October 18, 2008, 13 student musicians from DGS participated in the Illinois American Choral Directors Association Fall 2008 8th-10th Grade Women's Honors Choir. The choir, conducted by Beth Holmes, spent the day rehearsing on the campus at Northern Illinois University. The day of rehearsal culminated in an afternoon concert at the Boutell Memorial Concert Hall at NIU. Special kudos to DGS choir director Laura Coster for organizing this and event for providing this experience for our student musicians.
