Band Camp 2018 - Family Picnic and Camp Finale Show

Congratulations to the students and staff affiliated with the 2018 Marching Mustangs for presenting an impressive Band Camp Finale Show.  "Forward" has numerous visual and sonic elements in the program that are destined to be well received throughout the fall season.  Special congratulations to the members of the Class of 2019 for your impressive leadership throughout the week.

After a family meal in the cafeteria sponsored by the Band Boosters, everyone moved to the stadium. Each member invited one person to the field where students taught their protege three drill moves.  The newly christened marchers then executed the drill moves unassisted by their marching mentors.

After brief demonstrations by the guard and the battery and front ensemble, the winds demonstrated for the patrons a typical warm-up.  The band then performed the first movement of their show titled "Forward."  As a conclusion, the ensemble played the opener for the patrons on the track so the full sonic prowess of the ensemble could be experienced up close and personal.

We extend heartfelt gratitude to the all parent volunteers that made Band Camp this year a success - from catering to props, from uniforms to photographs and everything else, the pervasive spirit of parent volunteerism is essential to the function of the organization and enables us to provide a great experience for students.

We look forward to the continuing success of the Marching Mustangs during the fall season - it is going to be a great fall to be a Mustang!
