2019 Band Camp Picnic and Preview Show

Congratulations to the students and staff affiliated with the 2019 Marching Mustangs for presenting an impressive Band Camp Preview Show.  The show has numerous visual and sonic elements in the program that are destined to be well received throughout the fall season.  Special congratulations to the members of the Class of 2020 for your impressive leadership throughout the week - well done seniors!

The evening started with a family meal in the cafeteria sponsored by the Band Boosters.  The ensemble and patrons then matriculated to the stadium. After brief demonstration by the guard, the winds and percussion demonstrated for the patrons a typical series of warm-ups.  The band then performed the sections of the show moving and playing on the field and standing in concert arcs on the track so the full sonic prowess of the ensemble could be experienced up close and personal.

We extend heartfelt gratitude to the all parent volunteers that made Band Camp this year a success - from catering to props, from uniforms to photographs and everything else, the pervasive spirit of parent volunteerism is essential to the function of the organization and enables us to provide a great experience for students.  Thanks also to the staff and team of students leaders who worked throughout the week to establish a foundation for success for the upcoming season.

We look forward to the continuing success of the Marching Mustangs during the fall season - it is going to be a great fall to be a Mustang!
