Band Camp 2014

The 2014 Marching Mustangs are hard at work during day #2 of BAND CAMP 2014.  The sequestered 13 hour rehearsal days during Band Camp hone on the specific development of the visual and sonic aspects of the competitive field show.  Individually, each member focuses on continuous improvement through a constant cycle of feedback and repetition.  The guard, the winds and the percussion sections all spend time working independently, then, come together to sequence and unify the learning in both sight and sound.

The Marching Mustangs 2014 production, titled Passport, features the music of the internationally acclaimed ensemble Snarky Puppy.  The musical themes are infectious and are certain to please a wide range of music enthusiasts.  The enthusiasm of the student musicians for the production is evident in their collective work ethic during rehearsals.

As a culmination to the learning during Band Camp, the Marching Mustangs will present a performance on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 7:15 PM in the stadium at South High School.  Admission is free and the public is cordially invited to attend this premiere public performance.
