D99 Orchestra departs for Beitigheim-Bissingen, Germany/European Tour

Students and staff associated with the District 99 Orchestra departed this morning for a 2 week tour of Europe, focusing on the ongoing music and cultural exchange between the Beitigheim-Bissingen, Germany Music School and District 99. Although the weather provided rain showers, the attitudes and energy coming from the student musicians was balmy indeed. The "green light" indicated all systems were ready to go for the departure of this tour.

2010 Madrigal Singers Graduation Concert

Congratulations to the 2009-2010 Madrigal Singers for an impressive Graduation Concert. This ensemble prepared and executed challenging repertoire from a wide range of styles. The student soloists and ensembles demonstrated musical mastery, and, the initial steps in a life-long pursuit of vocal excellence for the departing seniors. The evening concluded with the DGS Alma Mater, with numerous Madrigal Singer alums in attendance joining the group on stage. Congrats to Mrs. Belt-Roselieb, Mr. Hernandez, and the Madrigal Singers Graduating Class of 2010 for a sonically stunning evening of vocal music performance.
