IMEA Etude Master Classes
This morning, our private music faculty worked with students during Wind Symphony and Wind Ensemble on the intricacies of preparing the IMEA auditon etudes. Serving a dual purpose, these sessions prepare students for the second round of high school auditions in mid-April, and, give the students a jump-start on IMEA audition preparation in October of 2010. Special thanks to our Band Boosters for supporting this project through the Chamber Music fund, and, thanks to our private teaching staff for spending these two hours working with our student musicians.

District 99 Orchestra Concert - March 17, 2010
The District 99 Orchestra sonically surpassed expectations this past week. Senior soloists Chan Choi, Emily Levine and Michael Rau performed with musicianship and poise far beyond their chronological years. Patrons were heard to say things like "If I closed my eyes, it is was to tell this was a high school orchestra." as they departed the concert venue for the evening. Great job to all the students in the D99 orchestra for such a fabulous concert!
